Flights to Kos


Kos International Airport "Hippocrates" receives domestic flights (from Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion ) all year round. The flight time from Athens to Kos is estimated around 35-40 minutes and from Thessaloniki & Heraklion around 1 hour.

During summer, the airport is connected with some European countries as well (England, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium, Austria etc.)


Upon your arrival, it is a great idea to rent a car since it is very easy to drive around Kos island and the airport is located 24 km away from Kos Town.

Ferries to Kos


You can easily reach Kos by ferry from Piraeus (the main port in Athens), as there are available routes about 4-5 times per week. The trip lasts approximately 11 hours.

Apart from Athens, Kos is also connected by ferry with Rhodes, Patmos, Leros, Kalymnos and many small islands. Kalymnos is the closest island to Kos and the ferry route between those two destinations takes 1 hour. There are also some ferry routes that link Kos with Bodrum in Turkey.

Also, note that Kos has 2 ports, one located to Kos Town and one in Mastichari Village.
